    1800s Mother's Day

    Being a mother is a tough and important job, and you can see how Texas women did it in a Mother’s Day Homes Tour at the historic farm. Crafts to make Mom a gift for her special day will be offered for children, as will special walking tours of the popular "Girls of Grit" program about women in Texas history. A Mother’s Day tea takes place in the historic Wessels dance hall at 11am both days, with limited seating.

    Austin FC Queso Cup

    Austin FC, H-E-B, and 512 Food Co. partnered to present the inaugural Queso Cup contest. Fans send in their best queso recipes to be judged by a team including Q2 Stadium's exec chef. The prize includes an autographed Austin FC soccer ball, a $500 H-E-B gift card, and two tickets to an upcoming Austin FC match. The winning queso will also be one of the three featured in the club’s Queso Fountain, said to be "the signature Austin FC queso experience."

    East Side Cool Party & Grand Reopening

    If you haven't checked out Central Machine Works, their grand reopening party is the day for it! The beer hall will be open and screening the Austin FC game, there'll be live music in the enormous biergarten, they're releasing a new beer collab with Hi Sign, and launching Austin's first convertible van shuttle service, Safari ATX. Plus, they're one of 10 breweries raising money this weekend for nonprofit Casa Marianella. (Rescheduled from May 1 due to weather.)

    Farm Out Fest

    This mini-festival will have baby goats (squee!) on-site, a mini market provided by Farmshare Austin, a silent auction, and live music from Walker Lukens and the Red Headed Strangers (performing Lukens' reimagined Willie Nelson favorites), Jomo and the Possum Posse, and Lost Pines. Tito's Handmade Vodka has created a special cocktail with basil from Farmshare, and event proceeds will support local farmers through Farmshare Austin.
