    Austin Shakespeare: Sense and Sensibility

    This story of two sisters – the sensible Elinor Dashwood and the impulsive Marianne Dashwood – showcases Jane Austen’s clever, comedic storytelling, as adapted for the stage by Joseph Hanreddy and J.R. Sullivan. A diverse cast of 17 actors create the elegant world, which will feature Regency costumes and charming dances, directed by Ann Ciccolella.

    This powerful Christopher Demos-Brown drama is about an estranged bi-racial couple who must confront their feelings about race, gender, and bias after their son is detained by the police following a traffic stop incident. Directed by Dr. Kelly Carolyn Gordon.

    These Shining Lives

    Set in the 1920s and '30s, Melanie Marnich's drama examines the relationship of four young women who suffered the consequences of corporate greed, and tells the tale of one who fought a long legal battle for compensation after suffering from exposure to toxic chemicals in the workplace. Lara Toner Haddock directs.

    Water by the Spoonful

    Different Stages presents Quiara Alegria Hudes' Pulitzer-winning play in which recovering addicts, scattered throughout the world in chat rooms, keep each other alive – hour by hour, day by day. Brogan Lozano directs this drama where "the boundaries of family and community are stretched across continents and cyberspace as birth families splinter and online families collide."
