If you are a gay or bisexual man, you may be approached in the next 2-3 months
by someone asking you to fill out a survey asking what it’s like being a young
gay or bisexual man today.

You will be told that:

* The Young Men’s Survey is a major study examining how gay and bisexual men
are dealing with critical issues confronting them today. The goal of the study
is to better understand the experience of young gay and bisexual men in order
to gather information that can be used to develop AIDS education programs to
prevent the spread of HIV.

* The survey asks questions about sexuality, dating and relationships, AIDS,
coming out, and discrimination.

* All participants must be gay or bisexual men between the ages of 18 and 27,
live in the Austin area, and continue to live here for the next year.

* Your participation and all info collected is completely confidential.

* You will be paid $10 for mailing in each completed questionnaire .

* You will be mailed two more questionnaires over the next three years, for
which you will be paid $10 again for completing and mailing in.

* You may withdraw from the survey at any time by simply not returning the
questionnaire.

You don’t have to wait to be approached to fill out a survey. If you meet
all of the qualifications listed above, you can call any of the following
