After this one that you hold
in your hands, there will be two more issues of The Austin
Chronicle
published in 1995. Both of these issues will be dated Friday
(December 15 and December 22) and distributed on Thursday, as usual. The issue
of the 22nd, however, will be finished on Tuesday night instead of Wednesday,
and the Chronicle offices will be closed for the holidays beginning
Thursday, December 22.

As is the tradition, the Chronicle will skip an issue the week of
December 29. Chronicle offices will reopen on Tuesday, January 2. The
issue that week will be dated Friday, January 5, and will actually be
distributed on Friday, instead of the usual Thursday. Everything will
return to normal — or to what passes for normal — the next week.

So close to the end of the year, so quickly…. In past years, we have run the
legendary Austin Chronicle Music Poll ballot for two issues in December
and two issues in January. This year, we are running the ballot four times in
January, both to be a little more chronologically strict and to give students
the opportunity to vote. n
