In last week’s story (“The Price of Being a Pierce,” News) about the investigation into the death of former yogurt shop murder suspect Maurice Pierce, we mistakenly edited a passage to read that Pierce’s wife, Kimberli, says it would not have been impossible for Pierce to have returned to the yogurt shop in time to participate in the murders. In fact, Kimberli has repeatedly said the opposite: that because Pierce gave her a ride home on the night of the murders, there was no way he could have made it back in time.
