Mr. Smarty Pants Doesn’t Know
In the March 25 issue, “Mr. Smarty Pants Knows” reported that “House Joint Resolution 123 [was] passed by the Texas Legislature in 2011.” In fact, HJR 123 remains in committee and has not yet had a hearing as of press time. However, it remains true that this statement is something Mr. Smarty Pants did in fact overhear, which is his stated standard for verisimilitude. The Chronicle does not regret the error.
