In our feature The Usual Suspects (News, July 9), we incorrectly reported that activist Robin Rather had endorsed Mayor Will Wynn in his 2003 campaign. In fact, while Rather did choose not to run against Wynn, she endorsed no candidate in the race. We regret the error.

In the July 16 News feature Babies Behind Bars, we referred to “54 prisons and state jails” and to the “Texas Youth Authority.” There are actually more than 100 state prison and jail facilities, and the correct title is “Texas Youth Commission.” The Chronicle regrets the errors.
