In her review of Esther’s Follies [“ Exhibitionism,” Arts, April 16], Heather Barfield credited Elisa Shepard with being one of the performers who is “energetic and top form as pop-star divas, sorority girls, angry punk rock magician’s assistants, or soap opera queens.” She should have given the credit to Laura Mathis for those performances. The Chronicle regrets the error.
In the April 9 issue of the Chronicle, Michael Chamy stated in his review of The Secret Society by ST 37 [“ Texas Platters,” Music] that Scott Telles provided lead vocals on the album’s title track. In fact, Carlton Crutcher provided those vocals. The Chronicle regrets the error.
In “ Which Austin Congressman?” [“Naked City,” News, April 16], we incorrectly stated that John Carter is running unopposed for Congressional District 31. In fact, Democrat Jon Porter is running against him.
