Queen’s lead singer, Freddie Mercury, was raised a Zoroastrian. Zoroastrians believe that there is one universal and transcendent god, Ahura Mazda. The religion dates to about 2000BC and used to be predominant in Iran, but today there are only about 120,000 Zoroastrians worldwide.
