There are many ways in which you can provide the vital service to
people living with HIV/AIDS in the process of living with dignity. We are
looking for volunteers who have some time to dedicate on a regular basis.

Buddy/Helpers:

As a Buddy/Helper Volunteer you will have the opportunity to provide
companionship and socialization opportunities, to those who may have become
isolated and alone due to diminishing capabilities, and/or some practical
support such as help with grocery shopping, house cleaning, occasional meal
preparation, drives to medical appointments, etc., for people who have limited
reserves of strength and stamina.

Others:

We can always utilize the services of those who are able to donate specialized
skills such as hair cutting, lawn maintenance, auto mechanics, house cleaning,
or laundry services.

Buddy/Helper Volunteers attend a weekend seminar to acquire the basic
sensitivities and skills required. If you are interested in becoming more
involved with AIDS in your community, please call 406-6151 or 451-2273 for
further information.
