ANTICI– Is it possible to breathlessly convey something with bated breath? Because that is the very state we are in this week, one week out from a brand new Gay Place! The excitement is driving us nuts. Beginning next week, Gay Place returns to her roots. This small column, or “comment” (as we have been calling it behind the scenes), will be reunited with all the Gay Place listings in print, all in one place, to create one large-format column. Yes, Gay Place will return to being a one-stop shop! Also, Gay Place is now listed in the Chronicle’s table of contents, so if you get lost and can’t find your buddy, there will always be a place right up in front of the paper, an inky, analog GPS, if you will, to call you home. The home office here at Chronicle central is still buffing up details, so that’s all we can say for now. But we do hope you’ll join us next and every week for our reflections on gay Austin and our picks of the best stuff to see and do – all the happenings where you’ll be guaranteed to find plenty of fellow queers to see … and do. See you next week. So exciting!
