FAGTASTIC SELF-STARTER? Dykealicious news hound? Queertabulous politico? Under- and over-ground scene queen? Well, honey, crack those hairy knuckles and get typing. The Gay Place Blog seeks three or so new bloggers. Be broad-based, broad-minded, and not even necessarily a broad! You don’t even have to be gay! Interested? Rummage through the Gay Place Blog archives (dig deep) and get a feel for what we’ve been doing over the years, and then come up with your own take. Here’s what your friendly neighborhood GPB editor (me!) would love to see in an e-mail, by way of application: a brief profile about your fine self, an idea of your areas of interest and expertise, how frequently you can realistically contribute blog posts, résumé basics (who you are, how we can contact you, and a way to verify the above), and an amazing writing sample. Make me gasp. Also, be available for the occasional group meeting/outing. We are fun! Bad news? No pay. Good news? Great forum for your brilliance, a fine team with whom to commingle, and broad exposure. There we go with the broads again. Go figure. Submit to us (me!): Address it to Kate at gayplace@austinchronicle.com. We will reply to all applicants.
