FROM THE PELICAN STATE WITH LOVE

This celebrated citizen, equestrienne, comedienne, Louisianian, certainly doyenne, and possible carcinogen is noted for her appearances at high societal hullabaloos and gatherings of trust fund ne’er-do-wells all across the Southern states. She can oft be caught hovering at debutante buffets or trolling under nothing less than 100% linen tablecloths of the well-heeled. She is, however, best known for her savoir faire! Her c’est la vie! And her c’est la guerre! And while she is most beloved as Central Texas’ premier emcee and bon vivant, this week, she unveils a new flange to the heraldic shield of her performative prowess: that of torch singer extraordinaire. Oh, we are tired of jabber-jawing. Here it is in her own words:

“Are your Sunday nights feeling like stale bread and dried prunes! Have you forgotten the glory of what a Piano Man and an Ignorant Chanteuse can do for your libido and social standing! Are you ready to experience an evening of enough twisted song and sultry stylings to turn a prize pig into a pork banquet?! Then prep your patty for the one and only Miss Rebecca Havemeyer and her delicate ivory tickler Russell Reed as they present to you After Ours …. It’s an evening of some of the most interesting songs you’ll ever hear wrapped in a box of exquisite decor and exceptional booze that is the East Side Show Room. Bring your darlings, your dandies, and your deepest emotions for this one, kids. There will be blood!” (See Sunday.)
