AS FAR AS WE KNOW, LOVE IS STILL LEGAL
Despite the best efforts of some, we queerbots can still whip out the luv whammy like no other … emm, marginalized population. And what better time than Valentine’s to celebrate the degree to which we are allowed to participate in that emotion? Local groups, performers, and even the bars are going all out this week and next. ALLGO‘s Baile Amor, Kings N Things‘ My Bloody Valentine, Gretchen Phillips‘ Manlove … all in the name of that four-letter mindf*ck that is life’s one undeniable quest, reducing so many a man to baboon, woman to slave, and we of the LGBT persuasion to out ourselves amidst hatred, bigotry, and the American way. Sure, we may not be deemed worthy enough to marry, but dang it, we can still get it on. So, let’s, shall we?
