TURN ON YOUR HEART LIGHT

Neil Diamond notwithstanding, it’s time to turn on the lights. This past week we stayed home. Next week we take to the streets again and light up the night. Join the Impact is calling for another nationwide action. This one involves meeting at a local commercial district for a candlelight vigil: Light Up the Night for Equality, slated for Sat., Dec. 20, 5pm. The website-based action coalition uses the Web to allow area organizers to stay on the same page, to network within and across communities, and to encourage equal access for both regulars and newbies to the movement. The last big Austin action in November had an Austin coordinator. This month, our coordinator will be organizing in San Antonio, closer to home for the holidays. So Austin needs a leader.
