Pleased With the Puzzle

Dear Editor,

Who’s this guy dissing the new crossword puzzles? [“Everybody’s Got One,” Feedback, March 13] I love the change in puzzles! I find them to be more intelligent and more fun. I could knock the old puzzles out in less than 10 minutes. They now require a little more thought and imagination. I’m not the kind of guy that breezes through the Sunday New York Times puzzle every week but the current Chronicle puzzle is right in the pocket. Thanks.

Something Broken

Dear Editor,

I just watched the world news. While Americans, including me, worry about gas prices and the stock market, families in the Middle East are grieving over the death and destruction all around them. Babies, children, mothers, fathers are dying or being severely injured. Their bodies burnt and broken. Everything they own is being destroyed.

Meanwhile we, including me, worry about a $0.60 increase in the price for a gallon of gas.

Something in the American people, including me, is broken.
