While some issues of being HIV-infected are common to everyone with the virus,
there also are some issues which are, or are perceived to be, different for
different groups. Sexual orientation, race, gender, or age may present unique
circumstances with which an HIV-positive person must deal.

“Straight Voices” is a six-week support group for HIV-positive heterosexual
men and women which has been offered periodically by People’s Community Clinic
for several years. The next meeting series begins February 6 and runs through
March 13. Led by experienced group facilitators, these Thursday evening
meetings are free and completely confidential.
