The Women Rising Project is having its spring garage sale on Saturday, May 8, and they need your usable, salable items. Then, come back to the sale itself, from 7:30am to 2pm, and buy other peoples’ wonderful stuff!
The ladies seek donations of household items and small appliances, clothes and accessories, baby items, toys, bikes, CDs and electronics, small furniture, and tools for lawn and workshop. This semiannual sale always generates great buys, an interesting mix of something for everyone but only if you bring ’em on in!
Women Rising is Austin’s support resource for HIV-positive women, a collaboration among ASA, ALLGO, the CARE Program, Wright House, Interfaith Care Alliance, Planned Parenthood, Waterloo Counseling Center, and the YWCA. The project works to nurture leadership, foster self-empowerment, promote health, improve quality of life, build community, and advocate for HIV-positive women and their families.
