Dine out Monday — and Help Out!

Have a bite to eat with your friends, and at the same time help provide food, medical assistance, legal help, dental care, and other daily needs to people living with HIV/AIDS. What could be an easier way to support your community?

Austin’s finest restaurants are gearing up for Dining for Life on Monday, Sept. 8. This year 64 restaurants will contribute 15% of their dinner proceeds to benefit AIDS Services of Austin.

An estimated 5,000-7,000 Austinites are HIV-positive. The new treatments over the last several years have slowed the death rate and are keeping poz people healthier than before, but the number requiring services like those provided by ASA is constantly swelling. At the same time, the agency faces dwindling and unreliable government funding. Community support, then, is more vital than ever to the work of AIDS Services of Austin and, ultimately, to the lives of its clients.

Your help is needed! Please join in this delicious opportunity to support those living with HIV/AIDS, just by eating out at your favorite restaurant. For a complete list of participating restaurants, log on to www.asaustin.org.
