It’s the holidays. I want froth, confection, sugarplums and most of all, happiness. I realize it’s a head-in-the-sand kind of response, but I don’t care. For me, right now, it’s pralines, stockings, and trying desperately to avoid reality while trying unsuccessfully not to max my charge card out.

Confection is expensive, people.

And while the news is filled with awful stories about book destruction, and even the bars aren’t safe in our home state, there are frothy moments of good (?) news from Hollywood.

(Those Housewives make me crazytown with their carrying on. You’ve got money! Be happy! Quit yer carrying on, you whiners!)

So, froth and frolic?

These videos made me happy, the both of them because they are gorgeous, fabulous young women making gorgeous, fabulous videos about kicking ass and whipping yourself around and playing with paint and music and making it happen.

Whip My Hair:

And the bluesy cover:

It’s not quite the same cover to cover goodness that was The Original My Humps and the magic of Alanis, but both songs pick up the pep in my step and remind me that even when the news is doom and gloom, a little hair whipping gets my mind back in the game.

Froth away, babies, and enjoy the week!
