Sometimes the longest weeks are the shortest ones. Tuesday’s start date left a heavy fog that made the last few days feel like a bad omen. Lifted only by last night’s serious Beyonce-bration, we’re now wide awake, with clear skies and a need to shake off the day job. And what better way to do that than partying, laughing, and lounging with the coolest QTs?
Friday: Tonight marks September’s first Friday, i.e., the ladies of Lesbutante and the Boss are gathering at Castro’s tonight for their monthly takeover of the gay boy bar. They’ll be dancing, mingling, and if you’re lucky, petting heavily and consensually.
Suggestion: This party ends early, so skip happy hour and head gayly here after work.
Saturday: Rise and shine early to get your day on it’s merry pride way. That’s right, Pride has finally come to San Marcos and they want all queers on hand there. Follow the parade and end at a festival filled with vendors, lovers, and supporters.
Suggestion: Make it an extra queer day by following SM Pride with D’Lo, a talented “trans, queer, Sri Lankan-American” performer who’s taking the stage this night at that MACC Blackbox Theater, thanks to ALLGO.
Sunday: What would a weekend in Austin be like without a band to dance to? Ease that fear, because Jeremy Roye has promised to turn Rain into a “sexy seance” of queer bands. The one and only Whiite Walls and KNIFIGHT will set the stage up to knock ya’ll down.
Suggestion: Don’t let Sunday night stand in your way of this magnificent music mayhem.
Craving even more queer in your weekend? Check out The Gay Place, and don’t forget you can follow us – Where The Girls Go/ATX – for all yer queer (lady) needs.
