A taste of what's to come! (I'm second from right)

Now this is going to be uh-ma-zing.

The Mexic-Arte Museum (if you haven’t been, go!) is once again putting together a Dia de los Muertos (that’s “Day of the Dead,” gringo [that’s “white person,” white person]) procession, which originates at Plaza Saltillo on the eastside and marches to the downtown museum, October 27, 6-9pm.

Here’s the Gay Place tie-in… the procession this year will be honoring the 100th birthday of that pansexual painter we know and love: Frida Kahlo!

So if you love to dress in Frida drag, slap some eyeliner between those eyebrows, put your best jewwry on and register with Mexic-Arte because the centerpiece of this year’s parade will be 100 Fridas! Oh, and as if that were not gay enough, the procession will once again be lead by brave chihuahuas.

I’ve gotta go get ready…
