George Takai the man behind the beloved Star Trek helm officer Mr. Sulu, will soon be “sweating like a bridegroom.” (OK, Trekkies, which episode was that from?) The 71-year-old actor and sci-fi con regular has announced his plans to wed his longtime partner and biz manager, Brad Altman.
Takai is the second big name we’ve heard taking the plunge since the historic California Supreme Court decision overturning the ban on gay marriage. Ellen Degeneres announced on her TV talk show that she and partner Portia de Rossi were tying the knot.
