A lot of artists we haven’t heard from in ages are popping up with new tracks. Lets start with the biggest of them all shall we?

Michael Jackson fans rejoice! Sony has just released the song “Breaking News,” for just one week on his official website as a teaser for his upcoming posthumous album Michael.

Listening to this reminds me of the way the late DJ John Peel described his favorite band The Fall, “always different, always the same.” MJ’s kids, mother, and crazy sister La Toya, all dispute whether or not that is really his voice on the track but do we really care? No. Sorry for linking to TMZ, btw.

Britpop juggernauts Pulp, one of the best bands ever in my opinion, are reuniting for a couple of shows in the UK. The group has not played a show since 2002. Hopefully this will lead to something more, like a single or album or show at my apartment.

Patrick Wolf, or as I like to call him, Man Björk, has released a new single entitled “Time of My Life.” It’s more of the same pompous, gorgeous, theatrical pop he does so well. He even made this cute little video for it in his kitchen. How dare he be so cute and talented!?

I know a lot of you have been drooling for a taste of some new Erase Errata, and now thanks to Stereogum, you can download “Damaged”, their first single in four years!

Iron + Wine has a cute li’l teaser for their new album, Kiss Each Other Clean, out in January. Just this little glimpse has got me going all warm and fuzzy.

Marina Gasolina, ex-Bonde Do Role member has just released her first solo single entitled “Leone.” I don’t quite know what I think of it yet. It’s got nice squiggly synths and a triumphant vibe; I guess it feels weird not hearing her in a hip-hop context. I am interested to hear more of her stuff. Check out the full song here.

Finally, this ain’t exactly super new, but it’s pertinent to our my theme, and I feel guilty letting it slip through my crack. Dntel, one of my favorite electrodreamjizz artists, has released two new tracks for download, one each from an upcoming pair of EPs entitled After Parties. Download via the widget below. Widgets for everything!

‘Til next time this is Fauxrissey keeping a queer ear to the underground.
