Went to the “soft” opening of V’s Mini-Burgers near the corner of MLK and Airport (in the swale between Taco Bell and Whataburger) this morning. Dang those mini-burgers are YUM: juicy grilled beef, a supersoft, locally made bun, and some fab Sterzing chips on the side.

Regular Austin MySpacers (especially queer Austin MySpacers) may know “V” better as Virginiainc., a 2007 Austin transplant from Louisville, KY, whose positively viral blanketing of the social networking site made her a household name. Or at least a lesbian household name. You may know her from her hit “Leather Lover,” a tune once used in a brilliant bit of theatre involving a wrestling Pikachu as performed by local drag kings Kings N Things.
Without devolving into too much commercial claptrap, suffice to say: Eat a mini or some other bit of deliciousness from this cart and you will be supporting family. The menu features the teeny burgers in a variety of permutations as well as a veggie Frito pie, a bratworst sandwich, tacos, as well as breakfast.
