There are two showings left of Gabriel Fleming’s provocative The Lost Coast: (today) Monday, March 10, 12pm and Wednesday, March 12, 8:30pm, Alamo Ritz 2.

Our review of it comes out in this week’s issue, after the fact. Don’t wait around for us to so inelegantly tell you: It’s lovely. The four lead actors are wonderful. It captures the lost Twenties with heart-aching accuracy. Audience members commented on how it captures a side of San Francisco rarely conveyed so well in film. The soundtrack meanders and urges it forward all at the same time. The text explores bisexuality and sexual ambiguity, but subtextually it is so much more than that. Top notch, really. Go see it.
