New GP blogger, RobCo. Hunky Brewster.

My name is Robert Cohen, but you can call me Fauxrrissey. I’m the last of the famous, international playboys. A charming man with a thorn in his side. A sweet and tender hooligan. A handsome devil that’s been going nowhere fast since he was 16, clumsy, and shy.

I moved to Austin two years ago from Brownsville, TX, a coastal town that they forgot to close down.

I oscillated wildly about my move to Austin, thinking I had started something I couldn’t finish. Yes, I was in school, but my real dreams, singing and writing just weren’t happening. I just kept telling myself, “These things take time,” and “It’s gonna happen someday,” but I couldn’t help but feel discouraged. I’d lie around trying to get out of bed but often wondered “What difference does it make?” Then Kate appeared in my News Reporting class. And here we are.

I was looking for a writing job, and then I found a job, and heaven knows, I’m still ill. Is that really so strange? Something is squeezing my skull, and now I have a forum to let it all out.

September has spawned a monster – myself – and I’m throwing my arms around Austin. The more you ignore me, the closer I get. So remember, all you need is me. Last night I dreamed that somebody loved me. Now I know that somebody is you, Austin, the light that never goes out. So, stretch out and enjoy some more awesome content here at Gay Place.

P.S.: I know we hate it when our friends become successful, but do try to be happy for me.
