Pride is a time of celebration, but also a time of remembrance.

We remember those before us worked their asses off to get to where we are today. We remember the liberation we felt when we no longer had to hide. And we remember our fallen, those who were taken away too soon.

Usually About AIDS is devoted to news, my small contribution to keeping HIV/ AIDS on the radar screen. But today, consider it a moment of silence for all of the people who should have been walking right next to us in every pride parade.

We miss you.
