    "Les Diners de Gala" by Salvador Dalí

    The Spanish surrealist painter illustrated the cookbook Gala’s Dinners in 1973 that included 136 recipes by French chefs. This traveling exhibit features 12 lithographs that were released in conjunction with the book and are some of his most unique experimental prints.

    National Museum of the Pacific War Day of Remembrance

    NMPW hosts its annual day of remembrance acknowledging Executive Order 9066, issued by FDR in 1942, which ordered evacuation from the West Coast of all persons deemed a threat to national security, and primarily affected citizens of Japanese ancestry. Hear a presentation from Ted Tanaka, who will relate his experience of wartime incarceration, and see a screening of the doc "Alternative Facts: The Lies of Executive Order 9066," plus a Q&A with Hoyt Zia, founding president of the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association.

    Ben McReynolds has donated his extensive and unique collection to the museum. It will be on view for a year along with the permanent collection that includes artifacts from La Belle, the French ship discovered in Matagorda Bay; the story of ranching on the coast; and more than 13,000 years of Texas history.
