    Calling all mini Monets! Registration is now open for afterschool and weekend art classes with professional artist and educator Amanda Jones, teaching students ages 8-18. Professional illustrator Carly Dennis also offers a special weekly class for younger artists.

    Youth Poetry Contest

    Orpheus Academy of Music invites students ages 6-12 to submit poems about either making music with friends or making music to change the world, with the winning poem being used as part of an original composition to be performed live at the historic Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. Grand prize also includes $500 and a month of free lessons!
    Submissions due Nov. 1. Free.
