Sure, it looks like a purse. About right for the five things you won’t leave the house without, right? It has a sassy little size, leather trim, and the color is a sure second-take. Perfect for Sunday services. But you’d best hold up, there, sister, before getting all batty-lash with the preacher. The logo is Veuve Clicquot, maker of the popular champagne.
Open it up, and after yanking the 750ML bottle out of it’s Neoprene insulation, busting it open, and having a good snort, you’ll see that said insulator actually detaches to reveal a zipper-pocketed interior. Already!
We learned about it on a recent trip to the liquor store, when we noticed the Traveller on display. We were told by a solemn-looking portly man that they can’t keep them in stock. Now, Veuve Clicquot may be the most popular bubbly this side of the pond, but one hardly expects a run on it in the middle of October. Ahhh, okay. “Are chicks buying these?” we asked. Vigorous, solemn nodding. We snapped up the last one.
Was the bubbly an excuse to shop or was shopping an excuse for the bubbly? Either way, we’re sippin’ and swervin’.
