Here’s a snapshot of the impact that this year’s drop in Cultural Contract funding had on Austin arts companies. In every instance below, the companies were on a strong growth track and had that growth in city funding abruptly reversed. In the worst cases — Creative Opportunity Orchestra, Pro Arts Collective, Dance Umbrella, and Tapestry — the 31% cuts pushed funding levels back to what they were three or more years previous.
