Even if you don’t plan to submit, browsing through the inventiveness and skill of so many aspiring designers is definitely worth your time. There is something about the soft lines and two-dimensional manikins in lace and ruffles I find to be almost soothing … reminiscent of a young girl dreaming of her big day. The sheer talent of being able to eloquently share your visions on paper makes me envious for lacking the ability to even draw a circle. The winning design will be brought to life in Jovani’s 2012 bridal line … not to mention the winner’s $1000 credit for the Jovani dress(es) of their dreams.
