Not only did the Eastside theatre enjoy another sold-out performance of another hit show – the third in the past 12 months, this one the stage spoof of Seventies porn Debbie Does Dallas – it broke Naughty Austin’s box office records for opening-weekend and single-night sales. And stayed cool in the process, courtesy of a big new air conditioner! Plus, you know how there’s always some adult who’ll slip a kid a little extra cash on his birthday? Well, Arts on Real had that, too: a benefactor who has offered to match any donation made to the theatre this summer.
