One of our favorite art galleries – Phillip Niemeyer’s Northern-Southern – is right in the heart of Downtown Austin. And there’s something else, you may be aware, that’s also, currently, right in the heart of Downtown Austin.

So, on Sunday, March 13, 11am-5pm, Niemeyer and his partner in crime Keyheira Keys are hosting a party in the stylish venue on Fifth Street, halfway between San Jacinto and Brazos – a party in which artists Drew Liverman and J. Johari Palacio will be painting new works, live and in-person, throughout the shindig.

And dancer Katherine Vaughn will show up and perform sometime between 2-3pm.

And there’ll be drinks provided by Jack Daniels and food from Baby Greens.

And – listen, it’ll be one hell of a fine respite from the madding crowd of gung-ho late-stage capitalists and woo-woo wunderkinder swarming like so many probiotic-energy-drink-fueled locusts within our Abbott-targeted, tech-moneyed metrop, y’know what we’re saying?

We’re saying: We hope to see you there.

Because it’ll be real.
