Since this event is obviously designed to outfit even more women for job success, any donations of handbags, jewelry, shoes, and even toiletries are welcome.
In case you didn’t know, Dress for Success is a national program that provides interview-appropriate outfits and suits to disadvantaged women as well as career counseling and a network of support as they enter the work force. Clients receive one suit for the interview process and another suit when they secure employment. In recent years the organization has grown to include 85 cities across the U.S., Canada, the Netherlands, and New Zealand.
Participating this year are Couture Cottons, organic custom-designed lingerie; Tikini Hut, whose swimsuits were featured in Sports Illustrated; and Karma Movement, an organization which puts forth the concept that acts of kindness lead to a kinder world, one act at a time.
