As the poet said, everybody’s got a hungry heart, and Studio2Gallery has cooked up a savory new exhibition that aims to fill that empty space and maybe your belly at the same time. “Food, Wine and Thou,” opening this Saturday, Jan. 17, offers a feast of artwork that connects the staff of life and the fruit of the vine with us in succulent colors and scrumptious shapes, from plump pears painted by Leslie Bottorff to plump, pearlike figures sculpted by P.S. Glenn, from sun-drenched ripe papayas in Susan Kemner Reed’s paintings to the sun-drenched, overripe colleen in this Lori Butler photograph. Paintings by Holly Berent and sculptures by Rabia Clark fill out the menu. Say, is that your tummy I hear a-rumbling?
