In States of Grace, choreographer Allison Orr explores movement with two men — an English professor and a Zen priest — and their guide dogs. The Sharir + Bustamante Danceworks showcase also includes Andrea Beckham’s investigation of touch, with sculpture by John Christensen; dancers making sounds via Laura Cannon’s choreography, a motion-sensitive digital camera, and a MIDI interface; Kent De Spain’s martial arts-inspired movement work; Theresa Hardy’s ode to Sisyphus; classical Indian dance from Gina Lalli; a duet by Andee Scott with music by local band Kissinger; and Holly Williams’ mix of movement and video to Ravel’s Bolero.
