Arts on Real can’t help you get a pound of flesh from either of those celebs, but if you’ll settle for an item that’s been in contact with their flesh, the Eastside theatre is ready to help. On New Year’s Eve, Arts on Real will auction off a pair of red cowgal boots in which Ms. Peters strode sassily across the stage in Annie Get Your Gun and earrings that decorated the lobes of Ms. McEntire, who followed her as Annie in that very production. They’re among the more exotic items being sold in the theatre’s silent auction, which includes items for both the nice (round-trip tickets on Southwest, getaways at assorted Central Texas Marriotts and Hiltons) and naughty (sensual gift baskets from Falcon Videos, to help you, um, get up for Naughty Austin’s upcoming End of the World Party, starring porn superstar Matthew Rush). Speaking of Naughty Austin, the night includes a performance of its hit show Pageant, an hour of cabaret-style entertainment, and food and champagne. All proceeds benefit Arts on Real.
