BookWoman is gunning for a $250,000 small business grant. Here’s the hiccup: They need 250 votes of support to be considered for 1 of 12 grants, and they need those votes now.
There are tons of small businesses you can support in the Mission: Small Business program (sponsored by Chase Bank and Living Social) – a quick skim of the options include Aster’s Ethiopian and Aruba Tan – but as the Austin Chronicle Books blog, it’s kind of a no-brainer that we’d be casting a vote for Austin’s favorite feminist bookstore.
