Some people start getting in the Christmas spirit after Halloween, others after Thanksgiving, and some not at all. The Armadillo Christmas Bazaar, Austin’s long-running artist and artisan marketplace, says why not start now?
The Palmer Events Center will host over 200 makers, specializing in fashion, furniture, outdoor art, ceramics, concrete and glass sculpture, and more. Tacking on an extra weekend this year, the bazaar will be open Dec. 15-23, 11am-9:30pm daily.
Participating artists include Dan Grissom, Rita Marie Ross, Alan Potter, Michael Mitchell, Steve Meadows, Betsy and Caya Crum, Lisa Morales, Chris Smith and more.
The artist lineup isn’t the only exciting news ACB dropped. This year’s event will debut interactive art activation dubbed the Armadillo Artway, featuring a tintype photo studio, an ornament marbling station by Mercedez Rex, and an activation from Almost Real Things.
Additionally, the bazaar will now serve guests a variety of bites and beverages at their new outdoor area, Palmer’s Parkside Food Court. There will be food trucks and covered seating overlooking the park, perfect for listening to all the live music acts, which will be announced Oct. 23.
