The 26th annual Austin Jewish Book Fair runs Nov. 1-8. Ticketed events include Sunday’s Science and Religion Bagel Breakfast with David Eagleman (Sum: Forty Tales From the Afterlife) and Rick Goldberg (Judaism in Biological Perspective: Biblical Lore and Judaic Practices), Sunday evening’s catered dinner that leads into An Evening With Rabbi Harold Kushner, and the Nov. 5 Book Lover’s Luncheon with Chris Bohjalian, bestselling author of Skeletons at the Feast: A Novel. Free events abound, too, including a talk on Sunday, Nov. 1, by Bruce Feiler, host of PBS’ Walking the Bible and author of America’s Prophet: Moses and the American Story, and Book Club Night: Building Community Through Books on Monday, Nov. 2, featuring Daniel Levin (The Last Ember) and Lily Koppel (The Red Leather Dairy: Reclaiming a Life Through the Pages of a Lost Journal).
