Ready, set, read!
Now that we’ve reached the weekend in the autumn calendar when the written word gets the spotlight, you are herewith cut loose to absorb as much printed matter as you please down at the State Capitol and its environs. It’s time once again for the Texas Book Festival, which is marking its 20th year with more authors than ever – 300! – meaning that its two-day run Oct. 17-18 will feature an embarrassment of riches in talks, panel discussions, readings, interviews, and books being sold and signed – all for free! The Chronicle has worked to provide some guidance as to who will be here and what they’ll be talking about, not only in these pages – look for additional coverage in the Food and Music sections – but also online at austinchronicle.com/texas-book-festival, where you can find recent author interviews and reviews of books for two dozen TBF 2015 authors.
