While in summers past, the Alamo Drafthouse's Rolling Roadshow has ventured far and wide, this year the theatre's traveling screen restricts itself to Texas – more specifically, to the very best Texas has put out for celluloid purposes. If that sounds like an argument in the making, consult the June 2011 issue of Texas Monthly, wherein writer-at-large Christopher Kelly and an esteemed panel of cinephiles – Austin screenwriters Anne Rapp and Kyle Killen, Drafthouse CEO Tim League, film critic and personality Joe Bob Briggs, and University of Texas film studies professor Charles Ramírez Berg – scrap over competing idears of the 10 best Texas movies of all time. Those 10 movies will be screened throughout the summer at sites related to the movies. All screenings are free, but we thought we'd make you work a little bit for the info: Try matching the quotes with the respective town and movie treasure.
