Scoot Dive-Inn Theatre Free Movie Series: 'Almost Famous'

The Chronicle has partnered up with our friends at ATX Brands to bring you the Historic Scoot Dive-Inn Movie Theatre, a free music-themed movie series on Tuesday nights this fall. Grab some food from Cazamance African trailer and a themed cocktail from the bar, and join us for a flick! Movies will start around 8pm each Tuesday. Arrive early for the best spots.

Weekender is a unique 4-day party combining a massive festival style lineup (including Baths, 12th Planet, Anamanguchi) accompanied by Austin's finest DJ crews (Peligrosa, Applied Pressure, Mad Classy) and Indie Rock bands (Marmalakes, Pure X, Walker Lukens, Holiday Mountain and many more) all going down at Austin Chronicle's 2014 Best New Venue!

ALL ATX Presents the British Invasion

Monday, Sep 22
ACL Live at the Moody Theater

Join Austin's finest musicians and special guests, Eric Burdon and The Animals and The Zombies for ALL ATX's tribute to the British Invasion. The show will be held Monday, Sept. 22 at ACL LIVE at The Moody Theatre. Doors are at 5:30 and the show begins at 6:30. Ticket prices range from $35-$300 with proceeds benefiting the Health Alliance for Austin Musicians.

HAAM Benefit Day

Tuesday, Sep 23

HAAM Benefit Day is a uniquely Austin event where businesses donate 5% of the day’s proceeds to HAAM to support musicians’ health. With over 160 performances throughout the day at retail stores, outside stages and more this is a day of music not to be missed. Look for a full schedule in this week's Chronicle.

Opal Divine's 9th Annual Talk Like a Pirate Day

Opal Divine's Penn Field, Arrrrgh! We couldn't help it. Opal's will host performances by Shoulders, the Jolly Garojers, and the Swishbucklers, led by the Hickoids frontman Jeff Smith. Dress to impress, and you might win the pirate costume contest. There will also be a Wench Auction, all benefiting Breast Cancer Resource Centers of Texas.

Gardener's Day

In.gredients, Learn about fall gardening from a plethora of local experts, including (but not limited to) East Side Compost Pedallers, YardFarm Austin, and Joe's Organics. Food and drink, including a special pancake breakfast, activities for the kids, and good ole fashion community cheer! Workshops from 9am-1pm.

8th Annual Trans-Pecos Festival of Music & Love

Mark your calendars for a weekend of music, art, workshops, and sandlot baseball at El Cosmico in Marfa, Texas, at the end of the month.
