The Emma S. Barrientos Mexican American Cultural Center is temporarily closed for construction, but their excellent programming continues at other sites. This third annual day celebrating wellness in all its forms begins at 9am with an hourlong nature walk guided by Latino Outdoors, complemented by complimentary tacos and pan dulce. Then Jesus Garcia will bless the garden at 10am before it gets a little beautification for spring. At 11 there’ll be live guitar music, a craft activity, nature painting demo, and Aneika Perez leading yoga and meditation. A live cooking demo with Common Threads at 11:15 covers healthy and tasty bases with cookie dough hummus and fruit skewers. Get more info and RSVP online. – Kat McNevins

This program from the city of Austin, run by Farmshare Austin, has opened new market locations. There are now six weekly markets around town that sell Texas-grown produce, eggs, honey, and other groceries all at reduced prices. Most major cards are accepted at these markets and if you are a SNAP customer, you can also use your Lone Star card and Double Up Food Bucks. Locations and schedules are subject to change, so check the current info online to find one near you.

Weekly guided breathwork sessions incorporate lunar and solar cycles, card readings, Kundalini, journaling, and more, and are led by Margaret, who has studied around the world and is a trained midwife, birth & postpartum doula, Reiki master, registered yoga teacher, and kinesiologist.

The 15th annual Sherwood Forest Faire begins this Saturday and remains open on weekends from 10am to dusk, rain or shine, till April 21. Over 170 artisans will be peddling their wares and showing off demonstrations of the serious craft it takes to make them, ranging from glass blowers, blacksmiths, potters, and leather armor makers to weavers, jewelers, and visual artists. With over 150 live performances a day to choose from, you could witness full-contact jousting, falconry, swordplay, archery, juggling, comedy, or theatre.
