Harold Pinter penned this current adaptation of Franz Kafka’s The Trial which was committed to film once before by Orson Welles. MacLachlan stars as Joseph K in this biting allegory about a man imprisoned for a crime that no one will state. The incongruity of his situation and the impenetrability of elusive legal system sound like perfect material for Pinter.
