The prolific Austin filmmaker P.J. Raval will be the first subject of the Austin Gay & Lesbian International Film Festival’s Filmmaker Series, aimed at providing exposure and finishing funds for emergent queer artists. During the 90-minute screening at the Arbor on Thursday, Feb. 23, 8pm, Raval will preview his feature-length Best Kept Secret – a documentary concerning Trinidad, Colo., the “Sex Change Capital of the World” – while also revisiting his many other works, including shorts and a music video.
