Instead of using this space for a typical film/TV book roundup, we instead reached out to local filmmakers to see what their favorite books were. We asked them three queries: 1) What is your favorite book on filmmaking, 2) what book continues to influence you, and 3) what is your favorite film adaptation, or alternatively, what book would you love to adapt? What we got was an interesting peek into these disparate filmmakers’ psyches. (And The Shining came up twice. Good work!)
