Austin Remembers Ceci Gratias

Folks from across Austin's many communities came out Sunday, Nov. 12, to celebrate the life of LGBTQ activist Ceci Gratias, who passed away Nov. 5. Friends for 20 years, Gratias was most recently the constituent relations director for Council Member Jimmy Flannigan, but her hand touched numerous organizations from Out Youth to Queerbomb, Lifeworks’ homeless youth program to the Hate Crimes Task Force. As part of the ceremony, Mayor Adler proclaimed Nov. 12: Ceci Gratias Day.
